Mother arrested for assault of infant in Spokane Valley

SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash. — A woman was arrested on Monday for assault of an infant, according to Spokane Valley Police Department.

On July 21 around 8:15 p.m., SVPD responded to a reported baby who was sleeping and possibly dead at an apartment complex south of Mirabeau Point Park.

When they arrived, officers and paramedics found a 5-month-old infant that required life-saving help.

SVPD arrested 22-year-old Amlyann Harry, the mother of the infant.

Harry was transported and booked into the Spokane County Jail for first-degree child assault.

The infant remains in critical condition with life-threatening injuries.
