SPOKANE, Wash. - Your four-legged friends will soon have a new and improved 10-acre dog park to play in West Spokane.

Construction on the High Bridge dog park will begin next week and run through early October. The park will be closed until construction is complete. The renovation includes:

    • Small and large dog areas
    • Agility features
    • Surfacing improvements
    • Seating
    • Water fountains in each dog area
    • Expanded paved parking
    • Improved entry/exit included ASA accessible area
    • Improved lighting

During construction at High Bridge, dog park users can visit the current south hill location near Peperzak middle school and downtown pocket dog park (Riverside & Adams).

In addition to the larger High Bridge dog park, a smaller 'neighborhood dog park' on Spokane's south hill will open near the corner of 63rd and Regal. Construction for that park will be completed in October. In the meantime, a temporary dog park is open at 65th and Mt. Vernon.
