Wanted domestic violence suspect crashes motorcycle fleeing from police

SPOKANE, Wash. - A wanted domestic violence suspect was arrested after crashing his motorcycle when trying to flee from the cops Wednesday evening.

According to Spokane Police, officers saw 38-year-old Brandon L. Biles driving in the area of Indiana Avenue and Perry Street around 6:45 p.m. The officer tried to pull Biles over for expired registration but Biles sped off.

Police said Biles crashed a short distance away and was taken to a local hospital for minor injuries.

At the time of the crash, Biles was wanted for a felony domestic violence incident that happened earlier this month.

According to police, calls came in on July 17 saying a victim had been burned by Biles during a fight. The victim said Biles lit a cigarette against their face and left the home before officers arrived.

The victim at the time had a domestic violence protection order that prevented Biles from being around them.

Once he left the hospital, Biles was booked into Spokane County Jail for violating a domestic violence protection order and two counts of domestic violence assault. Charges related to him fleeing from police are pending at this time.
