SHELL LAKE — The Washburn County Board approved the county’s official new logo at their meeting Tuesday, Sept. 17.

At a previous meeting, the logo, which was designed by North of Eight Design, was tabled so the board could tweak it a bit. At Tuesday night’s meeting, Emily Gall of North of Eight went over the main logo option, as well as smaller designs. She gave examples of which logo to use in different circumstances.

There was discussion by the board to approve the design only, not the coloring, which was said to be more of an operational decision to be made by the administrative coordinator/Human Resources director and county clerk, with input from department heads. The motion to approve passed unanimously.

Other action at the meeting included:

Authorization of the addition of a full-time deputy and full-time dispatcher for the 2025 budget.Increasing the 2024 Aging & Disability Resource budget for a Meals on Wheels of America Subaru Share the Love Event Award and an Open Access Technology International, Inc.
