Packers must sign former Steelers center to bolster O-line, claims report

The Green Bay Packers are still figuring out what their offensive line is going to look like in front of Jordan Love.

There is an ongoing competition at training camp for Green Bay's third offensive tackle role, and the Packers might also consider shopping on the free agent market for O-line reinforcements.

A recent report by Bleacher Report's NFL scouting department asserted that Green Bay should sign 28-year-old free agent center Mason Cole, who was released by the Pittsburgh Steelers in February after starting every game for Pittsburgh in both the 2023 and 2022 seasons.

"Green Bay could use a veteran interior offensive lineman in training camp, and Cole has experience at all three positions to serve as an insurance policy at the least," Bleacher Report's NFL scouting department said.

"Josh Myers has failed to live up to expectations during his three-year career so far, to the point where there were rumors that Zach Tom might move to center."

A former Michigan Wolverine, Cole has played for the Arizona Cardinals, Minnesota Vikings, and Steelers so far in his six-year career.
