The Steelers will kick off their preseason slate on Friday night when they face the Texans in Pittsburgh.
During the 2024 offseason, the Steelers made a big splash by sending out starting quarterback Kenny Pickett and acquiring Russell Wilson and Justin Fields. While Wilson is currently listed as the starter on the depth chart, he has been dealing with a calf injury, giving Fields a chance to take Wilson's job.
The Texans don't have any QB issues, of course, as C.J. Stroud is coming off a stellar rookie season in which he threw for 4,108 yards and 23 touchdowns with just five interceptions. Stroud and the rest of the starters are expected to take the field after staying on the sideline for the Hall of Fame Game earlier this month.
