Liverpool are in line for a cash injection if Premier League rivals Tottenham complete a club-record transfer move for Bournemouth star Dominic Solanke .

Spurs boss Ange Postecoglu has highlighted a new striker as a key target before the transfer window closes, with England international Solanke his rumored No.1 pick.

The latest update indicate Spurs are ready to break their club transfer record with a £65 million ($83m) move to activate Solanke's release clause.

On the back of scoring 19 EPL goals last season, Solanke has been linked with a move away from the Cherries, as part of his ambition to play European football.

If the pieces are put together by Bournemouth and Tottenham, Liverpool are set to pick up around £8 million ($10.1m) from the deal, as per their sale agreement from 2019.

Solanke failed to make an impact during his time at Anfield, with just one EPL goal across two seasons, and Jurgen Klopp accepted Bournemouth's £19 million ($24m) offer.

Within the terms of his sale, Liverpool included a 20 per cent sell on clause, which relates to any profit Bournemouth make on a future move.

That money could be reinvested back into Arne Slot's squad in the coming weeks, with Real Sociedad star Martin Zubimendi rumored to be his main target. However, they face a battle to tempt him away from San Sebastian, with La Real confident of retaining him if a bid arrives.
