GMFB host believes the NFL should not sleep on the Commanders in 2024

Good Morning Football 's Peter Schrager says the NFL should not sleep on the Washington Commanders in 2024.  The Commanders should not be viewed as a team in a rebuilding year because they have made some outstanding changes to the roster and coaching staff.

Schrager points to the quarterback room with rookie Jayden Daniels and Marcus Mariota as one example.  With Mariota by his side, Schrager believes Daniels, selected second overall in the 2024 NFL draft, is in a better situation than Caleb Williams, picked No. 1 by the Chicago Bears.

He talks about Dan Quinn who has seen it all after being on the winning and losing ends of Super Bowls and veteran Super Bowl Champion tight end Zach Ertz as positive influences. Schrager concludes his argument with another Super Bowl Champion, 34-year-old Bobby Wagner, who led the NFL in tackles last season, being an important anchor for the Commanders' defense.

Schrager is letting the nationwide football audience know what Commanders fans have already figured out.  This team is a special one capable of great things in 2024.  The Commanders have their preseason opener against the New York Jets at MetLife Stadium on August 10 at noon ET.
