France defeated a Germany team that was rolling through the tournament to reach the gold medal round. Victor Wembanyama's otherworldly defense helped France hold Germany to just 69 points while Guerschon Yabusele and Isaia Cordinier continued to step up offensively to help their country advance on its home soil.
