Former Boston Celtics and current Team France Olympic star Guerschon Yabusele is looking for someone in the NBA to give him a second chance at playing in the world’s greatest league.

Yabusele was a deep bench role player for the Celtics from 2017 to 2019, where he only averaged six and a half minutes, two points and a rebound per game. However, after his Olympic performance, maybe the Celtics should check in on him.

In the Olympics, Yabusele averaged 14 points, three rebounds, and an assist, putting him on the All-Second team for Men’s Basketball. In the final game for the gold medal against the US, Yabusele dropped 20 points, two rebounds, and two steals, an amazing statline for the Olympics.

Yabusele is a strong inside presence, acting as a slasher and cutting to the rim. The Celtics are very much centered around the 3 and D aspect of the game, so having Yabusele cut to the rim would give their shooters a lot of open shots. And, if the defense does not crash onto Yabusele, he can get the ball and score an easy two points.

Even if the Celtics are not interested, Yabusele could definitely find a place on someone else’s roster, but hopefully the Celtics decide to bring in another forward for the bench.
