Ex-Cardinals quarterback Matt Leinart shares personal news

Heisman Trophy winner and former Cardinals quarterback Matt Leinart, 41, played a stellar social media game on Monday.  Leinart has nearly 100,000 followers, and he normally shares what is happening in his busy household with his wife Josie Loren and their two young children.

He has also used his social media space to share his recovery from multiple hip replacement surgeries, interest in pickleball, never-ending loyalty to USC Trojan football, and NFL memories from his six-year career, four of which were in Arizona (2006-2009).

On Monday night, the pair shared a video discussing their married life.  It seemed lighthearted but felt like they were leading fans to an announcement.  And that's exactly what happened.  The pair announced that they are expecting their third child together next year.  This will be Leinart's fourth child, he has a son from a previous relationship.

Leinart was the classic example of a college football quarterback whose success did not translate to the NFL.  He had the dubious honor of backing up future Hall of Famer Kurt Warner for part of his time in Arizona.
