In a bold move to revamp their attacking options, Manchester United are reportedly ready to sell both Jadon Sancho and Antony to fund a deal for Barcelona winger Raphinha.

The Red Devils, looking to bounce back from a disappointing season on the wings, seem determined to bring in a proven talent who can make an immediate impact.

Manchester United’s current crop of wingers — including Marcus Rashford, Alejandro Garnacho, Jadon Sancho, Antony, Amad Diallo and Facundo Pellistri — failed to impress last season. While Garnacho and Diallo showed glimpses of potential, the others struggled to find consistency.

Manager Erik ten Hag is banking on Rashford and Sancho rediscovering their form, but if they falter, United could face another underwhelming campaign.

The solution? According to reports from Spanish outlet SPORT , United have set their sights on Raphinha, Barcelona’s 27-year-old Brazilian winger. Raphinha, who previously lit up the Premier League with Leeds United, could be the key to revitalizing United’s attack.

Raphinha’s versatility and creativity would provide Ten Hag with a dynamic option on the flanks, something United sorely lacked last season. Despite his impressive performances for Barcelona, where he has been a consistent presence over two seasons, Raphinha hasn’t received the same level of recognition as some of his teammates. A move to Old Trafford could finally cement his status as one of the top wingers in the world.

To fund Raphinha move United willing to sell

To make room for Raphinha, United are reportedly willing to offload Sancho and Antony, two players who arrived at the club with high expectations but have yet to deliver.

The club is seeking £40 million ($51.4m) for Sancho and is ready to accept offers of around £25 million ($32.1m) for Antony. If successful, these sales would generate £65 million ($83.5m), more than enough to meet Barcelona’s £51 million ($65.5m) valuation of Raphinha.

However, Raphinha has expressed a desire to stay at Barcelona, and it remains to be seen whether the Catalan giants will be willing to part with the Brazilian.

As transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has noted, there have been no formal bids for Sancho yet, and his future at United is still up in the air. The final decision will rest with Erik ten Hag and the club’s hierarchy as they look to reshape their squad before the new season kicks off.
