The Seattle Seahawks will soon take the field for their first joint practice with the Tennessee Titans ahead of Saturday night's preseason matchup. NFL teams are required to share an unofficial depth chart every week of the preseason, which Seattle did last night. The biggest change compared with last week's depth chart is of course the addition of veteran center Connor Williams , who signed a one-year deal worth a total of $6 million a couple days ago.

The team has also traded backup center Nick Harris back to the Cleveland Browns, which is reflected. However, this update includes something we didn't expect. A quick glance shows that second-year lineman Olu Oluwatimi is still listed as the team's starting center, while Williams is in the spot directly behind him. Jalen Sundell is now listed as third.

While this wasn't what we were expecting it also makes sense. Head coach Mike Macdonald told reporters on Monday that the plan is to get Williams into practice next week with the intention of having him ready by Week 1. For now, Oluwatimi is still their best option, at least so long as Williams hasn't taken a single snap with the Seahawks.

All that really matters is that it'll come as a real surprise if anybody but Williams is lined up at center come Week 1 against the Denver Broncos.
