The Buffalo Bills have made several changes to their group of wide receivers over the last week by brining in Deon Cain and Damiere Byrd. Now, they've let a receiver go.

Chase Claypool has been released after being put on IR with a toe injury. The former second-round pick was looking to bounce back after two down seasons with the Pittsburgh Steelers, Chicago Bears and Miami Dolphins.

Claypool's release will open the door a bit more for Marquez Valdes-Scantling, who has had a series of ups and downs throughout camp and in the preseason opener against the Chicago Bears. His struggles with drops have been notable in camp, and he dropped his first target against the Bears, finishing the game without a catch.

Others like KJ Hamler and Tyrell Shavers will also now have more opportunities to shine and earn a spot on the final 53-man roster with Claypool now gone. Now it just becomes a battle of who rises to the occasion.
