Yankees are most likely landing spot for superstar slugger, per insider

The New York Yankees will find themselves right in the middle of a bidding war for superstar Juan Soto this offseason.

The 25-year-old phenom has always expected to hit the market following his rental season with the Yankees, and he's done nothing but raise his stock with an MVP-caliber season.

Once the bidding war starts, all bets are off. However, the Yankees seem to have the best odds to re-sign the generational talent.

According to Jon Heyman of The New York Post , the Yankees are the most likely landing spot for Soto this offseason.

"Soto seems to love it all, including the roll call. The comfort, tradition, location, endorsement potential and lineup mate Aaron Judge are even bigger pluses," Heyman wrote. "They’ve signed two record deals, though Judge stayed for less than San Francisco or San Diego were talking. But with $200 million-plus already under contract for 2025, they will almost surely be in 110 percent tax territory again.

    Odds: Even money"

Heyman also believes the New York Mets and Los Angeles Dodgers are among the top landing spots.

Letting Soto walk in free agency would be a travesty. After showing what could be when paired with fellow superstar Aaron Judge, the fanbase will accept nothing less than a monstrous contract for Soto.

Coming off four home runs in the last two games, including his first three homer game , Soto is slashing .307/.438/.615 with a 192 OPS+. He leads the American League in runs scored (103) and walks (102) while posting 34 home runs and 87 RBI.

Soto has shown just how perfect of a fit he is for The Bronx. If he walks in free agency, it will be nothing but heartbreak for the Yankees.
