New Texas edge rusher Trey Moore can bench HOW much?

Trey Moore is not a small man.

The 6-foot-3, 245-pound edge rusher arrived in Austin after starring at UTSA, where he had been a thorn in the side of the Texas offensive line in matchups in prior seasons. His time in San Antonio was so productive that it made him a highly sought after transfer over the winter before eventually deciding to join the Longhorns.

If there were any doubts about whether he could physically fit in with his new squad, those apparently have been answered very early on in the weight room. Just ask Texas preseason all-everything offensive lineman Kelvin Banks:

Wait, he's lifting north of 400 pounds for fun? Holy cow.

Naturally, physical strength in the weight room doesn't always transition cleanly to the field, but Moore's ability clearly makes him stand out in what is one of the most physically fit locker rooms in the country. Put up numbers like he did at UTSA and Moore could be a trendy riser to watch come NFL Draft season.

If that happens, his time in Austin will have been a huge success. Starting in the weight room.
