Dodgers surprisingly listed among top options for 'most coveted' ace

The Los Angeles Dodgers seemingly have enough money to sign anyone and everyone.

Los Angeles is loaded with star power and is among the top options to take home the World Series this year. The Dodgers still likely will be active once the season ends looking to add even more star power to the starting rotation.

FanSided's Michael Brakebill even predicted that the Dodgers will be in the mix for Baltimore Orioles ace Corbin Burnes.

"The most coveted free agent starter this year will be Corbin Burnes, and the two finalists will be the Los Angeles Dodgers and New York Mets," Brakebill said. "As stated above, the Dodgers will bring back Buehler, and therefore, their rotation will be mostly set with Shohei Ohtani, Yoshinobu Yamamoto, Tyler Glasnow, and (Walker Buehler) in the top four spots. Consequently, they can avoid getting as aggressive as to fill out their rotation.

"The Dodgers, like the (New York Mets), have over $90 million coming off the books this winter. Still, they will spend a considerable chunk of it to acquire Juan Soto while the Mets wind up with Burnes, who are much more desperate to land a top-tier starter to pair with Kodai Senga."

If the Dodgers somehow could land someone like Burnes, that would be an absolute game-changer. Imagine a rotation featuring Burnes, Ohtani, Glasnow, Yamamoto, Buehler, and possibly Clayton Kershaw. That would be devastating to opposing teams.
