Manuel Ugarte is pushing hard for a move to Manchester United as the summer transfer window nears its end.

The 23-year-old Paris Saint-Germain midfielder is reportedly frustrated with his current situation, having waited nearly two months for a resolution.

According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Manchester United has been in negotiations with PSG for most of the summer, trying to secure a deal for Ugarte.

However, the French club’s high asking price has stalled the transfer, leaving Ugarte increasingly eager to make the switch to Old Trafford.

    Ugarte growing impatient with PSG

Romano revealed, “Man United and Paris Saint-Germain have been in touch almost the whole summer to discuss this Manuel Ugarte story. The real change of the last two or three days is that Manuel Ugarte has started pushing like crazy to go to Manchester United. What I'm hearing is that Ugarte is really tired of the situation."

Ugarte, who joined PSG from Sporting CP last summer, has been on the fringes of Luis Enrique’s squad, playing 2,449 minutes across 37 appearances last season. Despite his efforts, he was left out of PSG’s squad for their opening Ligue 1 match against Le Havre, further fueling his desire to leave.

The Uruguayan midfielder is determined to reach a solution soon, hoping that PSG will finally allow him to pursue his dream of playing in the Premier League. “He wants the club to find a way and he wants to go to Manchester United. Now it's obviously up to the clubs to find a way," Romano added.

As the clock ticks down on the transfer window, Manchester United will need to act swiftly to secure Ugarte’s services. The midfielder’s growing impatience could play in their favor, but the deal ultimately hinges on whether PSG is willing to lower their demands.

In other transfer news, Manchester United are also exploring the possibility of signing Everton striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin.

Despite adding Joshua Zirkzee to their squad, United are keen on bolstering their attacking options before the window closes. With just one year left on his contract at Goodison Park, Calvert-Lewin could be available at a reduced price.
