Eagles have found a gem in late-round 2024 NFL Draft pick

The Philadelphia Eagles made some splashes on the defensive side of the football in the 2024 NFL Draft, but you could argue that a fifth-round pick is having the most impressive camp of any rookie on the team.

Offensive guard Trevor Keegan, the former Michigan star who the Eagles made the No. 172 overall pick in April, has been close to perfect as a pass blocker during the preseason:

Keegan started at left guard in the Eagles’ second preseason game and held his own against the Partiots’ starters. That’s saying something, considering Eagles quarterbacks were sacked five times and hit six times total against the Pats’ blitz-happy scheme.

Only one member of the Eagles played every snap in the game against the Patriots , and that was Keegan. He’s played predominantly on the left side during training camp, but his services could be in even higher demand with RG Tyler Steen nursing an ankle injury .

Keegan was a mauler at Michigan. Per PFF , he didn’t allow a sack during the 2023 season and earned a career-high pass-blocking grade of 80.7. He also had eight games without allowing a single quarterback pressure.

Eagles GM Howie Roseman might have found a hidden gem in the fifth round.
