The Pittsburgh Steelers saw a key offensive player exit the preseason Week 2 game against the Buffalo Bills early on Saturday night when running back Jaylen Warren sustained a hamstring injury.

According to ESPN's Adam Schefter , Warren is doubtful to return to the game due to his hamstring injury he suffered in the first quarter. The severity of the injury remains unknown, though, and we may not get another update until after the game.

Warren appeared to have gotten banged up during the third drive of the game. He was spotted in the blue medical tent before ultimately making his way to the locker room. With a doubtful tag, he is not going to return to this game.

Before exiting early, Warren had one carry for one yard and two catches for 14 yards. It was a rough showing for the Steelers' offense overall, with the team failing to score any points on all five drives under quarterback Russell Wilson.

Warren is coming off a 2023 campaign in which he tallied career-highs in rushing yards (784), receiving yards (370) and touchdowns (four). He is expected to play a pivotal role in Pittsburgh's offense once again this season and share a backfield with fellow running back Najee Harris.
