Guerschon Yabusele contract details: French basketball standout inks one-year deal with 76ers

Yabusele is primed for an NBA return at 28 years old. He last played for the Celtics during the 2018-19 season, appearing in 41 games. Boston waived him the following offseason.

Yabusele signed a one-year, $2.1 million contract with the 76ers, per ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski .

It was expected that Yabusele would draw interest from NBA teams after his standout performance at the Olympics. He averaged 14 points per game en route to a silver medal.

The Athletic's Shams Charania initially reported that the 76ers and Yabusele were in "serious talks" on a contract, and the deal finished shortly after. The 76ers will have to pay a maximum of $850,000 for Yabusele's $2.5 million buyout from Real Madrid.

Yabusele is back in the NBA for the first time since 2019 and stays in the Atlantic Division where he'll play the Celtics four times this year. He joins a talented Philadelphia squad primed for a deep playoff run.
