The Tennessee Titans got some good news on wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins, who has been out a few weeks due to a knee injury.

On Sunday, head coach Brian Callahan revealed that Hopkins will be back soon and is expected to be ready to go for the Week 1 game against the Chicago Bears on Sunday, Sept. 8.

Hopkins was spotted with a wrap on his knee earlier in training camp before having to exit practice early with a sprained knee . His original return timeline was reportedly four to six weeks, so it looks like he'll be on the earlier side of that.

The 32-year-old wide receiver is entering his second season with the Titans after he was quarterback Will Levis' No. 1 option in 2023. DHop tallied 75 receptions for 1,057 yards and seven touchdowns in his first season in Nashville.

The Titans will have a much more crowded situation at wide receiver this season. After Hopkins was the best and only trusted target in the wide receivers room in 2023, the Titans added both Calvin Ridley and Tyler Boyd in free agency.

That could cut into his production, but Ridley and Boyd will also force defenses to focus attention elsewhere instead of solely on Hopkins. The Titans are also moving to a more pass-heavy offense after being run-heavy during the Mike Vrabel era.

The Titans have one more preseason game on Sunday, Aug. 25, before final cuts, and then they'll have their regular-season opener two weeks later.
