Adding fuel to the fire, Saudi outlet '365scores' claims that Barcelona has offered Gündogan to Al-Nassr in a bid to cash in on the 33-year-old.

Although Gündogan still has a year left on his contract with Barca, the club reportedly wouldn’t oppose his departure, especially with the recent signing of Dani Olmo and the emergence of young talents like Pedri and Fermín.

Despite the interest from Saudi Arabia, Gündogan’s preference seems to be staying in Europe, where he can continue competing at the highest level.

However, the increased competition for midfield spots at Barca, combined with his higher salary this season, could push the club to consider a transfer. With Gündogan turning 34 in October, this might be the last opportunity for Barca to make a significant return on their investment.
