Former Detroit Lions offensive lineman Gosder Cherilus was arrested for allegedly causing a disturbance on a flight on over the weekend.

According to Boston 25 News , Cherilus was arrested for disturbing a flight crew and disorderly conduct on a Delta flight going to Dublin, Ireland, on Saturday. The flight was ultimately routed back to Logan Airport in Massachusetts after the disturbance.

Per law enforcement, Cherilus allegedly urinated on another passenger during the flight.

“Delta flight 154 from Boston to Dublin on August 17 returned to Boston Logan due to an unruly customer and was met by law enforcement,” a Delta spokesperson said of the incident. “Delta has zero tolerance for unlawful behavior and will cooperate with law enforcement to that end. We apologize to our customers for the delay in their travel.”

Passengers on the flight were put on another flight on Sunday night that is slated to land in Dublin on Monday morning. Cherilus is scheduled to be arraigned on Monday.

A former first-round pick (No. 17 overall) of the Lions in 2008, Cherilus spent five seasons in Detroit, appearing in 75 games (71 starts). He also played for the Indianapolis Colts and Tampa Bay Buccaneers for two seasons each.

Prior to his stint in the NFL, Cherilus was a standout at Boston College, where he set a school record for the most consecutive starts with 51. He was inducted into the school's Varsity Hall of Fame in 2023.
