One former member of the Green Bay Packers didn't have to wait long to find his next opportunity.

Safety Tyler Coyle spent the offseason with Green Bay after signing a reserve/future contract in January. He will not see time with the Packers this season, though, as he recently was released. He didn't remain on the open market for long, though, as he signed with the Cleveland Browns, according to Packers Wire's Zach Kruse.

"Former Green Bay Packers safety Tyler Coyle, who was released by the team as part of a series of roster moves on Wednesday, signed with the Cleveland Browns on Friday," Kruse said. "Coyle, 25, was released to make room for running back Nate McCrary and linebacker Chris Russell, who were signed when injuries hit the two positions this week.

"Coyle was actually on the field for the Packers against the Browns in the preseason opener. He played 14 snaps, producing two tackles and a hurry. He also missed a tackle. The turnaround time was quick for Coyle, who played eight snaps for the Browns during Saturday’s preseason clash with the Minnesota Vikings."

Coyle began his National Football League career as a member of the Dallas Cowboys in 2021 and appeared in three games with the franchise over two seasons. He didn't appear in a game in the NFL in 2023.

He will look to make a return to the league with Cleveland in 2024.
