The New York Jets will be without three defensive players for the remainder of training camp.

Jets' fourth-year head coach Robert Saleh provided multiple injury updates following Monday's practice in Florham park, and the news wasn't great for two secondary players and a defensive tackle.

Cornerback Bernard-Converse and safety Isaiah Oliver are dealing with soft tissue injuries according to Saleh.

"They're gonna be down for the rest of camp. Should get them back for Week 1 though," said Saleh.

Meanwhile, interior lineman Leki Fotu, an offseason free-agent addition, has a hamstring issue.

"Fotu's going to be down for the rest of camp also," said Saleh.

Bernard-Converse, a 2023 sixth-round pick, moved to cornerback in 2024 after being drafted as a safety. He left the Jets' August 17 preseason game in the first half with a groin injury and did not return. The second-year pro appeared to be on an ascension since the start of training camp .

Oliver, who spent the 2023 season with the NFC champion San Francisco 49ers , was signed by Gang Green this past offseason and converted to the safety position from cornerback. Oliver did not dress for the road game against the Carolina Panthers after playing in the preseason opener one week earlier.

Fotu, a 2020 fourth-round draft pick, joined the Jets after playing out his rookie contract with the Arizona Cardinals . He was projected to be a regular in the defensive tackles rotation alongside Quinnen Williams, Javon Kinlaw and Solomon Thomas.

The Jets will close out the preseason schedule against the New York Giants on August 24 at MetLife Stadium.
