Dodgers among top options to snatch rival superstar this winter

The Los Angeles Dodgers seemingly have an unlimited amount of money at their disposal.

Los Angeles has the most talented in baseball and a massive payroll. Despite both of these facts, the Dodgers also have been listed as a top landing spot for every big-name player who has been available this season or could be available after the season ends.

This trend seemingly will continue over the next few months and Los Angeles was listed as the fourth-most likely landing spot for San Francisco Giants superstar Blake Snell by Bleacher Report's Zachary Rymer.

"He may not be on their roster, but it sure seems as if Snell is on the Dodgers' radar," Rymer said. "They were among the teams that checked in on him ahead of the deadline, according to Jon Heyman of the New York Post, who had also previously reported that the Dodgers made a 'late play' to sign Snell as a free agent.

"They could certainly use him right now, as 'volatile' would be putting it lightly as a descriptor for their rotation. Dodgers starters have been regulars on the (Injured List), including now with Tyler Glasnow and Yoshinobu Yamamoto sidelined. Between this and the ever-looming possibility of Clayton Kershaw finally hanging up his spikes, it doesn't take much to see a future in which Dodgers president of baseball operations Andrew Friedman, who ran the Tampa Bay Rays when they drafted Snell in 2011, kicks the tires on Snell yet again. And with them, money is never really an issue."

Snell is one of the game's best pitchers and certainly could help take Los Angeles to an even higher level than it already is.
