One former member of the Atlanta Braves has found a new home in the National League West.

Former Braves utility man Luis Guillorme appeared in just nine games at the big league level in Atlanta this season before he was traded to the Los Angeles Angels. He appeared in 50 games with the Angels before he recently was designated for assignment.

Guillorme eventually was released but didn't remain on the open market for long as he reportedly agreed to a deal with the Arizona Diamondbacks on Tuesday, according to USA Today Sports' Bob Nightengale and Ex Extra Base's Daniel Álvarez-Montes.

"Just a few hours after Atlanta signed veteran infielder Gio Urshela to help replace injured (third baseman) Austin Riley, Arizona reached an agreement with infielder Luis Guillorme with (second baseman) Ketel Marte going on the (Injured List)," Nightengale said. "Daniel Álvarez-Montes on the Guillorme signing."

Arizona is in a similar boat as the Braves with some unfortunate injuries right now. Landing Guillorme could help add a little more depth down the stretch but he likely will make too big of an impact with the Diamondbacks. While this is the case, Guillorme is a seven-year big league veteran who can provide some important depth. He has spent time with the New York Mets, Braves, and Angels throughout his career and now will have a chance to show what he can do as a member of the Diamondbacks down the stretch.
