Detroit Lions star Amon-Ra St. Brown has ascended to one of the league’s best wide receivers since entering the NFL in 2021. St. Brown has improved each year and has had at least 90 catches and 900 yards in each of his three seasons, and there’s no reason to think that production is going down any time soon.

In 2023, St. Brown came down with 119 catches for 1,515 yards and 10 scores, all of which were career-highs, ranking tied for second, third and tied for fourth in those categories, respectively.

From a fantasy football perspective, St. Brown finished the season ranked as the WR3 in PPR, per Fantasy Pros . CeeDee Lamb and Tyreek Hill were the only receivers to have a better fantasy season than St. Brown.

So, what should be expected of St. Brown from a fantasy standpoint in 2024? Let’s find out.

Amon-Ra St. Brown fantasy football outlook

    Ceiling: WR1 overall
    Floor: Low-end WR1

We know St. Brown will get plenty of targets in 2024. The Lions failed to add any notable wide receiver this offseason after losing Josh Reynolds , so it wouldn’t be a shock if St. Brown ended up near the top of the league in targets.

Kalif Raymond and Jameson Williams are the team’s other starting wide receivers , and neither have been close to a WR1 level in their careers. Sam LaPorta is one of the league’s most promising young tight ends, but he shouldn’t take away from St. Brown’s effectiveness. After all, he didn't do that during what was a monster rookie year.

There’s a scenario in which Williams takes a major leap forward and steals some targets from St. Brown, but more likely than not, he's simply going to replace Reynolds' production.

Even if Williams has a breakout season, it’s hard to imagine St. Brown not having an extremely productive campaign. Barring injury, St. Brown’s floor won't be any lower than a low-end WR1.

If all goes well, St. Brown could end up as WR1 overall when the 2024 season is over. St. Brown is the type of player who can win a fantasy league and the wide receiver should be near the top of everyone’s draft board.
