The number one topic of conversation for the Denver Broncos this offseason has revolved around who will be the starting quarterback, and deservedly so. While many people believe that Bo Nix has the potential to breakout and have a great rookie season, there are other Broncos players that are flying under the media radar.

Earlier today on Good Morning Football , Senior National Writer Peter Schrager gave his list of the top ten breakout players for the 2024 season, and Broncos RB Jaleel McLaughlin was given that title.

Coming out of Youngstown State, McLaughlin was an undrafted rookie last season who put up solid numbers. On just over 70 attempts, McLaughlin rushed for 410 yards and a touchdown while also accumulating 160 receiving yards and two touchdowns.

Now, with an entire offseason under the tutelage of Sean Payton, Schrager believes McLaughlin is due for a great season:

"[McLaughlin] is your dream swiss army knife weapon that you will see Sean Payton use in a lot of ways this year... McLaughlin is going to make plays this year".

The Fox Sports writer also went on to make an incredible comparison calling McLaughlin the "Darren Sproles of [the Broncos]". He went on to say Darren Sproles was heavily used in dump passes and special teams runs while under Payton for the Saints, and Schrager anticipates McLaughlin will be used the same.

McLaughlin is projected to have many carries and a lot of big moments for Denver, so fans should keep an eye out for this young star.
