Cleveland Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski gave a troubling health report on quarterback Deshaun Watson.  Watson was intended to be the QB1 for the Browns in the Saturday preseason finale game at Seattle.  It would be the first time Watson played competitive football in 9 months after season-ending shoulder surgery last November.

On Tuesday, Stefanski seemed to waiver on the assertion that Watson would play.  Many thought it was related to the overwhelming amount of injuries on the Browns offensive line .  It would perhaps not be a wise move to send him out on the field with offensive line players lower on the depth chart given the rash of injuries.

However, Wednesday's health update points to a different reason for Stefanski's hesitation.  Watson is experiencing "general soreness. "

The Browns open the season on Sunday, September 8 against the Dallas Cowboys and want to have a healthy Deshaun Watson as QB1.  It remains to be seen if this will be a reality given the latest potential setback reported on Wednesday.  Jameis Winston and Dorian Thompson-Robinson are the Browns QB2 and QB3, respectively.
