The Red Sox have an incredible record when their rookie infielders go yard

The Boston Red Sox have an amazingly unique record when it comes to their rookie infielders Ceddanne Rafaela and David Hamilton; when either of them hits a homer, the Sox win. The Sox are 20-0 when one of those two has hit a long ball.

David Hamilton has homered eight times this season, and each game he’s homered in, the Sox have won. Rafaela has 13 home runs, so the other 12 are covered by him. His extra home run was because he hit two in one game against the Detroit Tigers.

Both rookies are also playing stellar baseball for the Sox overall. Hamilton is one of the leaders of the team in steals, tying with his teammate and All-Star Jarren Duran; both players have 32 steals.

As for Rafaela, he definitely should be a Rookie of the Year candidate. Hitting .264 with his 13 homers, he also has 19 doubles and 17 steals. Not to mention he has made some of the most spectacular defensive plays at shortstop and centerfield this year.

Hopefully, one of these two rookies can crush the ball tonight and make the record 21-0 against the Arizona Diamondbacks at 7:10EST.
