ESPN Host Gives His Extremely Debatable 12-Team CFP List

With the College Football season finally upon us and the 12-team College Football Playoffs set to take place for the first time this season, there are many people that are trying to predict which teams will place where and what teams will make it. And some of those people have incredibly hot takes.

One of those flaming takes was ESPN's Matthew Barry , where he showed his list to a group of college football analysts, and they were bewildered to say the least. Here is what Barry's rankings looked like :

    1. Georgia, 2. Oregon, 3. Virginia Tech, 4. Oklahoma State, 5. Ohio State, 6. Texas, 7. Alabama, 8. Ole Miss, 9. Penn State, 10. Missouri, 11. Utah, 12. Memphis

To say this list is realistic and probable is a drastic overstatement. While Georgia and Oregon make sense, the rest of the list is out of the question.

Virginia Tech went 7-6 last season as a part of the ACC and Oklahoma State went 10-4 a part of the Big 12. The fact that Barry had those two teams over the likes of Ohio State, who were 11-2 last season a part of the Big Ten is asinine.

And that was last season. This season, the Buckeyes are returning numerous weapons such as Emeka Egbuka and TreVeyon Henderson, while also adding pieces like Caleb Downs and Jeremiah Smith , all players who were selected to their respective Preseason All-American Team(s) .

It truly goes to show that while it is completely fair to say anything can happen in college football, some people give their personal takes just to stir the pot.

Brody Bitters???? How the hell does this guy have a job writing about college football. He knows nothing. He is complaining VA Tech and OK St are ahead of Ohio St. Doesn't this clown realize the top 4 seeds are guaranteed to conference champions? ACC and Big 12 will probably get 2 of those top 4 spots. Barry is picking VA Tech and OK st to win those conferences.
