Browns fans had deja vu moment at Miami vs. Tampa Bay preseason game

Cleveland Browns fans have long memories.  The good, bad, and ugly moments stay fresh in their minds years after the fact.  That's why some may have experienced a deja-vu moment that triggered good and bad memories while watching the Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs. Miami Dolphins preseason game on Friday night, August 23, 2024.

Fans witnessed a friendly moment between former Browns teammates Baker Mayfield and Odell Beckham Jr. on the field after the game.  This is not the first of these types of moments fans have seen.  When Tampa Bay and Baltimore played and OBJ was with the Ravens last year, they also exchanged pleasantries and laughs.

This could trigger happy memories of a 2020 run to the playoffs.  Or it could trigger sad memories of how all of it fell apart over social media during the 2021 season.

Since leaving Cleveland, both have found both bumpy and successful roads.  OBJ tore his ACL in the Super Bowl with the Los Angeles Rams, but he is a Super Bowl Champion.  Mayfield lived in unsettling times after the Browns traded him to the Panthers.  He played briefly for the Rams but has seemingly found his mojo in Tampa Bay.

It is good to see that one of the most divisive feuds in Browns' recent history has long been settled between Mayfield and OBJ.
