The Buffalo Bills came oh so close to finally defeating the Kansas City Chiefs in the playoffs this past January when they hosted the now two-time defending Super Bowl champions in the divisional round.

While trailing 27-24, and doing so without several top defenders, Josh Allen led the Bills on a 16-play, 54 yard drive that took nearly seven minutes off the clock and set up Tyler Bass to kick a potential game-tying field goal with under two minutes to play. Bass hooked the kick, the Chiefs ran out the clock and advanced to the AFC Championship Game where they defeated the Baltimore Ravens and eventually defeated the San Francisco 49ers in the Super Bowl.

Bass' struggles have continued throughout this preseason. He missed a 51-yard field goal against the Carolina Panthers in the preseason finale , and was hit-and-miss throughout training camp .

When asked about Bass and his miss, head coach Sean McDermott was very blunt.

“Those are ones he’s got to make," McDermott said. "That’s one we've got to have.”

The Bills certainly have a kicker problem, and it's already bit them at the worst possible time. They should do their due diligence and start looking for potential replacements at the very least.
