Defending champion Coco Gauff comes to the US Open at the back of a torrid run of form.
The 20-year-old from the United States won her first women's singles Grand Slam title in New York last year.

The first round of matches in both the ATP and WTA singles competitions begins on Monday, August 26, with the order of play on most days starting from 11:00 a.m. ET in the first, second, third and fourth (last 16) rounds.
Both days of quarterfinals will begin at 12:00 p.m. ET , while the WTA and ATP semifinals over the following two evenings begin at 7:00 p.m. ET and 3:00 p.m. ET respectively.
