    14 days till Patriots season opener: Every player to wear No. 14 for New England

    The New England Patriots will open their 2024 campaign against the Cincinnati Bengals at Paycor Stadium on Sunday, September 8 at 1:00 p.m. ET, which is now 14 days away.

    Until the opening kickoff of the season for the Patriots, we'll be counting down each day by looking back at those who have worn each specific jersey number.

    Since 1960, 15 players have worn No. 14 in New England, and with 14 days until their first game of the year, here's a look at everyone who's worn the number for the team:

    QB Jacoby Brissett: Present

    • Has appeared in three games for New England in one season, completing 61.8% of his passes for 400 yards
    • Won a Super Bowl with the Patriots
    • Also played for the Indianapolis Colts, Miami Dolphins, Cleveland Browns and Washington Commanders
    • Expected to be the team's starting quarterback in 2024

    WR/RB Ty Montgomery: 2022-23

    • Appeared in 14 games for New England over two seasons, rushing for seven yards on five carries and catching eight passes for 55 yards and a touchdown
    • Also played for the Green Bay Packers, New Orleans Saints, Baltimore Ravens and New York Jets

    K Tristan Vizcaino: 2022

    • Appeared in two games for New England in one season
    • Also played for the San Francisco 49ers, Los Angeles Chargers and Arizona Cardinals

    WR Donte Moncrief: 2020

    • Appeared in six games for New England in one season, catching one pass for 15 yards
    • Also played for the Indianapolis Colts, Jacksonville Jaguars, Pittsburgh Steelers and Carolina Panthers

    WR Mohamed Sanu: 2019

    • Appeared in eight games for New England in one season, catching 26 passes for 207 yards and a touchdown
    • Also played for the Atlanta Falcons, Cincinnati Bengals, San Francisco 49ers and Detroit Lions

    WR Brandin Cooks: 2017

    • Appeared in 16 games for New England in one season, catching 65 passes for 1,082 yards and seven touchdowns
    • Also played for the Houston Texans, New Orleans Saints, Los Angeles Rams and Dallas Cowboys

    WR Michael Floyd: 2016

    • Appeared in two games for New England in one season, catching four passes for 42 yards and a touchdown
    • Won a Super Bowl with the Patriots
    • Also played for the Arizona Cardinals, Minnesota Vikings and Washington

    WR Chris Harper: 2015

    • Appeared in five games for New England in one season, catching one pass for six yards
    • Also played for the San Francisco 49ers

    P Zoltan Mesko: 2010-12

    • Appeared in 48 games for New England over three seasons, averaging 44.2 yards per punt
    • Also played for the Cincinnati Bengals and Pittsburgh Steelers

    QB Vinny Testaverde: 2006

    • Appeared in three games for New England in one season, completing two of his three passes for 29 yards and a touchdown
    • Also played for the New York Jets (made a Pro Bowl), Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Cleveland Browns, Baltimore Ravens (made a Pro Bowl), Carolina Panthers and Dallas Cowboys

    WR P.K. Sam: 2004

    • Appeared in two games for New England in one season
    • Won a Super Bowl with the Patriots

    QB Steve Grogan: 1975-70

    • Appeared in 149 games for New England over 16 seasons, completing 52.3% of his passes for 26,886 yards, 182 touchdowns and 208 interceptions
    • Inducted into the Patriots Hall of Fame

    QB Brian Dowling; 1972-73

    • Appeared in 25 games for New England over two seasons, completing 53.7% of his passes for 383 yards, two touchdowns and an interception
    • Also played for the Green Bay Packers

    QB Tom Sherman: 1968-69

    • Appeared in 18 games for Boston over two seasons, completing 39.8% of his passes for 1,199 yards, 12 touchdowns and 16 interceptions
    • Also played for the Buffalo Bills

    QB/P Tom Yewcic: 1961-66

    • Appeared in 77 games for Boston over six seasons, completing 42.2% of his passes for 1,374 yards, 12 touchdowns and 12 interceptions and averaging 38.6 yards per punt

    QB/P Tom Greene: 1960

    • Appeared in 10 games for Boston in one season, completing 42.9% of his passes for 251 yards, one touchdown and six interceptions and averaging 38.3 yards per punt
    • Also played for the Dallas Texans
