Tennessee Titans LB Chance Campbell gets devastating injury update

During the preseason finale on Sunday against the New Orleans Saints , Tennessee Titans linebacker Chance Campbell suffered a knee injury in the second quarter that forced his early exit, but we didn't get an immediate update on the severity.

Unfortunately, we got a terrible update on Campbell's knee on Monday, as head coach Brian Callahan revealed the 2022 sixth-round pick has suffered a torn ACL and is out for the 2024 season, according to Jim Wyatt of TennesseeTitans.com .

Campbell has now suffered a season-ending injury in two of his three seasons in the NFL. He also missed the entirety of his rookie season.

This is obviously devastating news for Campbell, who had an outstanding preseason and was primed to not only make the roster, but to have a role as the top backup behind Kenneth Murray and Jack Gibbens.

With Campbell now out of the picture, that could open the door for someone else to make the roster.

In our final 53-man roster projection, we had Murray, Gibbens, Cedric Gray and Otis Reese as the other four linebackers aside from Campbell. It's possible the Titans roll with four, but if we had to choose a fifth, it would definitely be rookie James Williams, who has shown flashes this offseason.
