NFL expert on why insultingly low ranking for Seahawks QB Geno Smith is 'flat out wrong'

Geno Smith may not be the best quarterback in the NFL - that title still belongs to Patrick Mahomes and will stay with him until somebody proves different. However, Smith has been playing the game at a very high level the last two seasons since becoming the starter for the Seattle Seahawks , and he's about as good at anybody in some of the most-important elements of the modern game.

For one thing, Smith is the most accurate quarterback in the league right now. He's also one of the most clutch and most aggressive. However, he's still consistently getting underrated - as today's quarterback rankings prove. Here's NFL expert Warren Sharp on why Smith getting ranked as low as number 20 - with the likes of Derek Carr, Deshaun Watson and Baker Mayfield - is just flat out wrong.

Smith may be about to take his game to another level, as well. The brief glimpse we got of him leading Ryan Grubb's offense on Saturday night was an enticing appetizer ahead of the regular season.

We simply cannot wait to see what Smith does once Grubb opens up his full playbook on the competition. By this time next month, any ranking that doesn't have Smith in the top 10 is going to look positively ridiculous.
