Celtics guard Jrue Holiday says he enjoyed winning the NBA Finals with Boston more than his second Olympic gold medal

Boston Celtics guard Jrue Holiday was volunteering at the grand opening of the first Raising Cane’s in Boston, where he was interviewed about his national and international titles he won this year. Holiday won the NBA Finals with the Celtics, and won the Olympic gold with Team USA. Reporters wanted to know which did he enjoy winning more, and his answer was simple; Boston.

“Winning in Paris was cool,” said Holiday. “Obviously against France, so it was like us vs. the world. But winning here was amazing. I’m not sure anything tops that. Winning here in Boston. The crowd, the shot Payton hit. It was all just so overwhelming.”

In the Finals against the Dallas Mavericks, Holiday averaged 14.4 points, 7.4 rebounds, and 3.8 assists per game. It was his second time winning the Finals, with the first being with the Milwaukee Bucks in 2021.

Holiday currently has three years left on his contract with the Celtics, so he won’t be going anywhere anytime soon. He is an amazing defender, and picks up the slack for the team, whether it be scoring, rebounds, assists or steals. With this talent, the Celtics will definitely be looking at another Finals run this upcoming season.
