Many media members and experts are coming into this college football season with a lot of praise and expectations for the Ohio State Buckeyes. With the amount of talent on both sides of the ball, people expect them to be extremely successful.

Except one such analyst thinks if the Buckeyes don't focus on the main objective, the talent will not mean anything.

OSU quarterback and ESPN college football analyst Kirk Herbstreit went on the ' Pat McAfee Show ' and gave his thoughts and opinions on this year's Buckeyes.

Herbstreit went on to say that nearly every year Ohio State has had incredible teams with amazing talent, and that this year is no different. In that same breath, he went on to say that Quinshon Judkins was a backup at Ole Miss and Will Howard was going to lose the starting spot at Kansas State, so if anything, the talent may be overhyped.

However, Herbstreit is not saying they won't be any good. Herbstreit was saying that they need to come together as a team in order to achieve championships and titles, not utilize individual skill sets.

And while many people like to argue that this year's roster was 'bought' due to NIL and other endorsements, Kirk had a comment on the show that disproved much of that argument:

"[Ohio State] has had good rosters, it is not like they went from having an average roster to all of a sudden buying a big, rich roster, they've already had a lot".

From players like the Bosa Brothers and Zeke Elliot to Chase Young and Marvin Harrison Jr., the Buckeyes have always been loaded with talent. But like Herbstreit said, it is about coming together as a team to reach the ultimate goal.
