It's been a noisy offseason for the Dallas Cowboys. After a long holdout, Dallas finally caved and paid wide receiver CeeDee Lamb a massive four-year, $136 million deal. However, they have yet to get a deal done with quarterback Dak Prescott , and it's looking less and less likely that they will.

Owner Jerry Jones has done a lot of talking this offseason. On Wednesday, he was asked what he needed to see from Dak, to which he gave an odd response .

“You could easily say, if you haven’t seen it by now, you haven’t seen it," Jones said. "Dak’s situation right now for me has more to do with our situation than it does with the merits of Dak Prescott being the quarterback of the Dallas Cowboys.”

Jones' constant word-salad answers have become more of the norm than anything in Dallas, and they've begun to fall on deaf ears with Prescott, who says he doesn't listen to what Jones says anymore .

“I stopped, honestly, listening to things (Jerry Jones) says to the media a long time ago. It doesn’t really hold weight with me," Prescott said.

This situation feels like it's racing to an inevitable outcome of Prescott signing elsewhere in 2025.
