College football fans got an appetizer last week with Week 0. Now, the real fun begins with Week 1.
Last week, the 2024 NCAA football season kicked off with the Aer Lingus College Football Classic between Florida State and Georgia Tech. "College GameDay" was overseas as well, starting off the 2024 season in Dublin, Ireland.
ESPN's iconic show, featuring Rece Davis, Kirk Herbstreit, Desmond Howard and Pat McAfee, has a new face this year — Nick Saban. The iconic Alabama football coach called it quits after the 2023 campaign, and is now bringing his college football knowledge to the "College GameDay" desk.
While Dublin, Ireland offered a unique location to start the season, the ESPN crew heads to the Lone Star State for Week 1, as Notre Dame and Texas A&M get set to begin their 2024 seasons with a top-20 matchup at Kyle Field.

Where is 'College GameDay' location for Week 1?

This will be Notre Dame's 37th time on "College GameDay", breaking a tie with Georgia for the sixth-most appearances on the show. The Fighting Irish are 16-20 all-time in games that received the "College GameDay" coverage.
For Texas A&M, it will be the program's 10th time on "College GameDay". The Aggies own a dismal 1-8 record in previous contests.
The two teams have never met on a "College GameDay" broadcast.
