When it comes to Detroit Lions wide receivers, Amon-Ra St. Brown has become one of the best in the business over his three seasons in the NFL, but the team also has a promising young player in Jameson Williams.

St. Brown is coming off a career-best campaign in 2023 after he finished with 119 receptions for 1,515 yards and 10 touchdowns, leading to a finish of WR3 overall, per Fantasy Pros .

Williams has been a big disappointment over his first two seasons in the NFL, but it is worth noting that this is the first year in which he had both a full offseason and normal start to the regular season. Williams spent his first offseason in the league recovering from a torn ACL, and he was suspended for the first four games last season.

You can probably already guess where we stand on drafting St. Brown. But is Williams someone who is worth a look for fantasy owners in 2024? Let's dive deeper and find out.

Fantasy Football Outlook for Detroit Lions WRs

Amon-Ra St. Brown fantasy football outlook

St. Brown has improved his production in each of his three years in the NFL, and there's reason to believe he can be even better in 2024 than he was in 2023.

The Lions never adequately replaced Josh Reynolds, who saw 64 targets and reeled in 40 of them for 608 yards and five touchdowns. Not to mention, Detroit has plenty of question marks behind St. Brown, so quarterback Jared Goff may lean on him heavily.

Even if St. Brown doesn't see a big uptick in targets, he's still going to eat and post an elite fantasy football showing once again.

    Jameson Williams fantasy football outlook

By all accounts, Williams has looked very good in practice this offseason and is primed to take the big leap the Lions desperately need him to. As we mentioned previously, there are a ton of targets up for grabs after Reynolds departed in free agency and wasn't sufficiently replaced.

Williams will be competing with tight end Sam LaPorta for the role as the No. 2 option in the passing attack, but even being the No. 3 will prove to be fruitful in a high-volume passing offense like Detroit's.

The Verdict: Which Lions WR should you draft in fantasy football?

St. Brown is an elite option at wide receiver and should be one of the first off the board in all formats. He is most definitely the Lions receiver to own.

Williams is, of course, a shakier option, but he could return fantastic value in the middle rounds of drafts if everything pans out.
