Caitlin Clark spoke with her dominant performance in the Fever's win Friday against the Sky, telling everyone why she deserves to be name Rookie of the Year.

Both Clark and Angel Reese mentioned before the game that the award is the least of their worries, but putting up a career-high 31 points and 12 assists in a 100-81 win was certainly a statement from Clark on the matter.

She wasn't alone for Indiana — Kelsey Mitchell contributed heavily with 23 points of her own, and Nalyssa Smith tacked on 14 as well. As a team, the Fever shot a whopping 48.5% from the field and 44.8% from 3-point range, with its largest lead sitting at 27.

Chicago was unable to keep up with Indiana's high-firing offense. Michaela Onyenwere led the Sky with 20 points, while Reese achieved her 23rd double-double of the season with 10 points and 11 rebounds, passing Tina Charles for most by a first-year player in league history.

The Fever can now officially claim the regular season series against its rival with a 3-1 record in head-to-head matchups this year. The team sits at .500 as Indiana seeks its first postseason appearance since 2016. Prospects are looking less positive for Chicago, which now sits at 11-20 with less than 10 games to go before the playoffs.

Fourth quarter: Fever 100, Sky 81

9:43 p.m. — The game ends with the Fever maintaining a near-20 point lead, Clark leading all scorers with 31 points and 12 rebounds for her 10th double-double on the year. Mitchell and Smith also put up stellar performances with Onyenwere, Banham and Cardoso combining for 53 of Chicago's points.

9:42 p.m. — Reese fouls out and Dantas nails two free throws to hit the 100-point threshold for Indiana. The last time the Fever scored 100 points was September of last season, according to the broadcast.

9:41 p.m. — Reese snags another rookie record with her 10th point of the game, scoring her 23rd double-double on the season and passing Tina Charles for most by a first-year player in league history. The Sky are all but out of it, but the rookie continues to fight with under a minute remaining.

9:40 p.m. — The Fever have put up a season-high 98 points tonight in what is looking to be a dominant win over their division rivals. With 2:41 to go, the score is 98-74 Indiana.

9:35 p.m. — DeShields committed a foul that was later overturned to be called a flagrant one, sending Clark to the free throw line for the Fever. The rookie then comes off the court for the final time with just under four minutes to go to a rousing round of applause, capping her night off with 31 points.

9:25 p.m. — Clark is not slowing down, hitting a triple for her 26th point of the game to extend Indiana's lead, 94-71 with 4:54 to go. That would mark her fifth made three on the night.

9:21 p.m. — Banham and Hull go at it again, this time Banham scoring a layup and Hull hitting another triple. Indiana is up by 19, and Clark has a 23 point, 12 assist triple double with just over five to go in the game.

9:20 p.m. — Cardoso hits two free throws before Boston hits her second field goal of the day. Then, Banham and Hull trade threes in succession, with the Fever continuing to lead 87-69 with 6:22 remaining in the fourth.

9:17 p.m. — Mitchell continues to shine with a layup to open the quarter for Indiana. Boston follows that up with a jumper of her own and suddenly the Fever are up by 18 points with under eight to go in the fourth.

Third quarter: Fever 78, Sky 64

9:05 p.m. — Dantas and Harrison trade layups as time winds down in the third, but Dantas gets the last laugh with a three on the next possession for the Fever. The quarter ends with Indiana in front 78-64. Clark now leads all scorers with 23 points, nearing a double-double with nine assists. Mitchell has 21 and Allen has 19 with 10 minutes of play remaining.

8:57 p.m. — Smith his another three for Indiana, her first made triple of the night and DeShields follows it with two free throws. DeShields pulls up again for another score shortly after to keep the Sky in single digit range.

8:54 p.m. — The Sky are staying in it behind points from Cardoso and DeShields, keeping the score at 64-57 Indiana with 3:30 in the quarter.

8:50 p.m. — Reese commits her fourth foul as well, putting her in danger of taking to the sideline alongside Boston. Onyenwere is also teetering on four fouls.

8:47 p.m. — Boston acquires her fourth personal foul on the night with just over five minutes to go in the quarter and Reese picks up her third shortly after. Smith hits a three to keep Indiana in front 61-52 with 5:40 remaining in the third.

8:45 p.m. — Boston hits two more free throws to give the Fever its biggest lead of the game so far. Onyenwere makes sure that doesn't last long as she drains a three assisted by Cardoso. Smith answers for Indiana with a layup, getting fouled on the play by Reese to make a free throw that keeps the margin at 10.

8:42 p.m. — The foul on Clark, committed by Onyenwere, is upgraded to a flagrant 1 and Clark makes all three of her free throws to keep Indiana's lead at nine, 55-46 with 8:30 remaining in the third.

8:40 p.m. — Banham hits a three for Chicago before Clark is fouled taking a triple of her own, setting her up for three more shots from the line. Mitchell has now marked her 6th consecutive 20-point game and Clark is sitting at 18 with over a quarter-and-a-half to go.

8:34 p.m. — It was ruled that Boston committed a technical foul before the end of the half, so Reese started the third frame off with a made free throw. Mitchell and Clark swiftly answer, Mitchell hitting a jumper and the rookie nailing her fourth three of the night, to re-extend Indiana's lead to 52-43 with nine minutes to go . Chicago takes a timeout.

Second quarter: Fever 47, Sky 42

8:18 p.m. — Allen would hit another free throw to keep the Sky within five points of the Fever as the clock wound down. Mitchell leads all scorers with 18 points, Clark closing in with 15 of her own along with seven assists. Allen has 16 points and five rebounds for the Sky, and Reese and Cardoso have six rebounds each.

8:15 p.m. — Reese and Clark hit back to back shots with the Fever maintaining a steady lead heading into halftime. It's 47-41 Indiana with under 30 seconds to go.

8:11 p.m. — Despite the timeout, Mitchell will not be stopped. She comes out of the break hot with a three-point jumper to give Indiana its first double-digit lead of the night.

8:09 p.m. — Mitchell hits two consecutive jumpers to extend Indiana's lead to 40-33 with 4:22 remaining in the quarter. Chicago takes a timeout to find a way to stop Mitchell, who leads all scorers with 15 points so far. Clark is already sitting on a double-double with 11 points and seven assists.

8:03 p.m — Clark assists on back-to-back scores for Indiana between points from Chicago's Onyenwere to keep the Sky in it. The rookie has six assists already with just over five minutes remaining in the half.

8 p.m. — Clark does it again! She his another three to give Indiana the lead, which Wheeler helps maintain with a shot of her own later. Evans and Onyenwere fight back to keep Chicago within one, the score 31-30 Fever with 6:51 remaining.

7:57 p.m. — Chicago misses several chances to start the second before none other than Clark hits a logo three to even the score at 26 with 8:44 remaining in the quarter.

First quarter: Sky 26, Fever 23

7:52 p.m. — That's how the score remains at time expires in the first quarter with the Sky maintaining its three-point lead. Allen continues to lead all scorers for Chicago with 12 points. Cardoso has four rebounds while Clark has three assists, two rebounds and five points so far. Reese has two points, three rebounds and one assist after the first ten minutes.

7:50 p.m. — The Fever are creeping back into it thanks to a three from Hull and a score from Fagbenle, who is fouled by Cardoso on the play. She hits her free throw to make it 26-23 with one minute to go.

7:47 p.m. — Clark opens the game back up with a score and Banham answers for Chicago. The teams trade points before Mitchell hits a three for Indiana to bring the Fever back within striking range, 24-17 with three minutes to go in the quarter .

7:45 p.m. — Shaq is also among the crowd at Wintrust , a long-time mentor for Reese since her days at LSU.

7:42 p.m. — Four points from the Sky, including a layup from Reese, force the Fever to take a full timeout with 4:35 remaining in the first. So far, Allen leads all scorers with 10 points already in just over five minutes of play.

7:40 p.m. — Onyenwere hits a three for Chicago to extend the early lead and Clark followed with a missed three of her own. Reese fouls Boston, sending her to the line where she makes one of two shots. It's 17-9 Sky with just over five minutes in the quarter.

7:36 p.m. — Clark nets her first triple of the game at the eight minute mark to keep the Fever in the lead. Allen, however, then scored six points in less than a minute to put the Sky back in front 14-8 with 6:26 to go.

7:33 p.m. — Boston wins the tip for Indiana and assists Mitchell for the first score of the game. Allen returns the favor quickly at the other end and both teams continue trading points for the first couple minutes of play. Onyenwere eventually commits a foul on Smith who makes one free throw to make the score 5-4 Fever with 8:22 remaining in the first.

7:30 p.m. — The sold out crowd at Wintrust Arena is anticipating tip-off that should come any minute now. Indiana leads the head-to-head series this season between the two teams 2-1, and Chicago could even it out with a win tonight.

7:25 p.m. — Without Carter, the Sky's starting five consists of Banham, Allen, Onyenwere, Reese and Cardoso.

7:20 p.m. — Sue Bird and Megan Rapinoe are among the attendees for tonight's marquee matchup. Ten minutes to go!

7:15 p.m. — It's worth noting the Sky will be without guard Chennedy Carter due to a COVID-19 diagnosis. She is the team's leading scorer this season with 17.2 points per game and also sat out Chicago's last contest against Washington.

7:10 p.m. — The Fever announced its starters for tonight: Clark, Mitchell, Hull, Boston and Smith. It's the same lineup the team put out against Connecticut on Wednesday, all of whom played meaningful minutes and scored double-digits.

7:05 p.m. — DraftKings has Indiana as a 6.5-point favorite over the Sky at the moment. Both teams have taken to the court at Wintrust to warm up, getting shots up and shaking things out before show time.

7 p.m. — With only thirty minutes to go until the Sky and Fever battle it out in Chicago, here's how each team fared in their most recent contests.

The Sky are coming off a narrow 70-74 loss to the Mystics at home on Wednesday—Reese had a quieter game on the scoring front, only grabbing seven points, but she snagged 14 rebounds in the process. Michaela Onyenwere and Kamila Cardoso combined for 25 and 12 came off the bench from Diamond DeShields, but it wasn't enough to overcome Washington.

The Fever, on the other hand, are coming off a signature victory against the surging Connecticut Sun. Clark netted 19 points in Indiana's 84-80 win, setting a new WNBA rookie record for 3-pointers with a triple in the first quarter. Kelsey Mitchell starred with 23 points of her own, marking a franchise record fifth consecutive game with 20-plus points.

Indiana is just below .500 at 15-16 heading into its matchup with Chicago, which is sitting at 11-19 and on the edge of playoff contention.
