The Oregon Ducks are in their debut season in the Big Ten Conference, and they'll begin their run towards a hopeful College Football Playoff berth when they take on Idaho on Saturday night.

It'll be the debut in neon green and yellow for quarterback Dillon Gabriel, who transferred to Oregon in the offseason after a stellar career at Oklahoma. He'll have two of the top receivers in college football at his disposal in Tez Johnson and Evan Stewart.

Idaho came in at No. 7 in the Football Championship Subdivision (FCS) and its defense ranked third in the Big Sky Conference last season. On the offensive end, redshirt sophomore Jack Layne will be tasked with leading the young Vandals team.

The Ducks eye their first College Football Playoff berth since 2014, and the expanded field presents a prime opportunity. They'll also begin their Big Ten title hopes against an Idaho team looking to play spoilers.
