Josh Allen has all the confidence in the world in center Connor McGovern

The Buffalo Bills went through a lot of changes offensively over the course of the 2024 offseason. And while the departures of Stefon Diggs and Gabe Davis got the most attention, the loss of another player could take Josh Allen some getting used to even more than adjusting to a new receiver room.

The Bills released long-time center Mitch Morse as a cap casualty. The Bills were in cap hell after the 2023 season, and Morse was one of the veterans that they chose to cut. He is also the only center Allen has had throughout his career, which may be a cause for concern as he transitions to taking snaps from Connor McGovern. However, Allen has all the faith in the world in the veteran offensive lineman.

“I think the fact that Connor played next to Mitch last year and heard everything and understands the offense [helps],” Allen told Chris Long on Green Light .  It’s not [like] you're bringing in a guy to learn a completely new system… that’s where I think we got a step ahead. And I think Connor’s been doing a great job in terms of communicating with not just me, but the o-line [as a] whole.”

Allen seems to have complete faith in McGovern making the move to center, which should give Bills fans confidence in him, as well.
