WWE RAW: Bronson Reed ruled out of Intercontinental Triple Threat Contender’s match, medical issue

The entire roster of WWE RAW has been on red alert as of late due to the rampage of Big Bronson Reed. He’s now put several superstars on the shelf after sending them to the hospital, from Seth Rollins to Braun Strowman (nearly putting him through the roof of a Cadillac), and was on his way to potentially facing off against another unstoppable force — Bron Breakker — for a shot at the Intercontinental Championship.

Unfortunately, the only thing that seemingly could stop Reed did stop him: an illness.

    LOOK: WHO IS GIULIA??

It was announced by general manager Adam Pearce only hours before the start of the Sept. 2 episode of RAW that Reed has been pulled from the triple threat contender’s match.

“I’m here to bring a bit of bad breaking news: Bronson Reed is medically unable to compete tonight,” said Pearce, via WWE . “He has COVID. He is out of the Intercontinental Contender’s Triple Threat. Who steps in? I can assure you I’m working on that.”

At this time, there is no timeline for Reed’s return.

Who Pearce grants the opportunity to will be something to watch closely, considering they’d need to be as worthy of the chance as Reed was before being sidelined with COVID. In a match against Sheamus and Ludwig Von Kaiser, they had better bring their A-game.

The other triple threat contender’s match this week will feature Dominik Mysterio, Dragon Lee and Ilja Dragunov, the latter returning from an injury suffered at the hands of, guess who, Bron Breakker (in July).

Jey Uso awaits the winners of the next two matches, but he can count out an opportunity to face Reed.
