On Monday, Detroit Lions running back Jahmyr Gibbs posted a photo to Instagram that appeared to show head coach Dan Campbell working at an Applebee's. We now know where that came from.

It was revealed on Tuesday that Campbell is featured in a new Applebee's commercial that promotes the restaurant's 50-cent wings.

In it, Campbell is acting as a server and hilariously covers his mouth with his checkbook and urges a pair of patrons to do the same so nobody can steal their order, which is obviously a reference to coaches covering their mouths when calling in plays so opponents can't read their lips and know what is coming.

"Cover your mouth," Campbell says with a checkbook over his mouth. "They could steal your order."

Check out the funny commercial below.

    Excellent performance, coach.

Campbell became the head coach of the Lions in 2021, and since then the team has seen quite the resurgence, going from 3-13 his first season, to 9-8 in his second season, and then 12-5 in his third before making it all the way to the NFC Championship Game.

Looking ahead to 2024, the Lions have legitimate Super Bowl aspirations for the first time in a long time and are hoping to finally get over the hump and win the franchise's first title.

As a result of his success in Detroit, Campbell is widely considered one of the better head coaches in the NFL. He can cement himself fully if he manages to bring a Super Bowl to the Lions this coming season.

The Lions will begin their 2024 season on Sunday night when they host Matthew Stafford and the Los Angeles Rams at Ford Field.
