The biggest storyline during the Las Vegas Raiders ' 2024 offseason has centered around the team's quarterback position, where Las Vegas is set to start Gardner Minshew over Aidan O'Connell after the two competed for the job.

The problem with that situation is neither quarterback played well enough to really separate himself from the other, which has only raised more concerns about Minshew and/or O'Connell being able to take this Raiders team to where it wants to go.

If things don't pan out in the first half of the season, Bleacher Report's Kristopher Knox believes Las Vegas should consider Jacksonville Jaguars signal-caller Mac Jones via trade ahead of the deadline. Here are his thoughts on that:

The Las Vegas Raiders could consider adding Jones if the Gardner Minshew II experiment doesn't work and the team doesn't love the long-term prospects of Aidan O'Connell.

After an impressive rookie season, Jones flamed out in New England, although it's fair to point out that his supporting cast was awful.

If the Raiders are in a position where they need to consider a trade for Jones because neither Minshew nor O'Connell work out in 2024, chances are they'll already be cooked, in which case such a trade wouldn't make sense.

Jones is just as big a question mark as the current quarterbacks the Raiders have, and it's not like he's on a multi-year deal that would allow Las Vegas to give him a longer look in 2025.

Barring injuries or a big-named quarterback becoming available during the season, the Raiders are going to ride with what they have and hope for the best.

If it doesn't work out, general manager Tom Telesco will simply look ahead to next offseason with the hope he can land a franchise signal-caller, either in free agency or the draft.
